From the horses mouth

This is the first post on a blog that we should have created a LONG time ago. But, when a foul wind blows for long enough, at some point someone will stand up and say something! I guess that had to be me.
I have been a carriage driver in Central Park for over 10 years now. I can not begin to tell you how sick it makes me to hear people call me an animal abuser or say my horse is unhappy. The lies about us must stop, and I will begin to dispel them one by one here on this blog.
We LOVE our horses. They are our livelihoods, our friends, our partners at work, and most of all, they are part of our families. For anyone to say that we would mistreat them is not only an outright lie, but a disgusting one at that.
